Carving Pumpkins

Tonight we carved our family pumpkin. Danielle didn't really want anything to do with it, but Grant and I had fun carving. Danielle ran around the house eating a couple peices of candy corn. We bought one of those carving booklets this year and found a fun & easy pattern. Hope everyone has a fun & safe Halloween. We're taking Danielle out trick or treating around the neighborhood.

Birthday Dinner!

So I've started a tradition and it's a Birthday Week. You celebrate your birthday 3 days before and 3 days after the real day. I thought it was fitting since this year I turned the BIG 3-0!! To end my week long celebration, we went out for dinner and drinks last night. Thanks to everyone who came out to help me welcome my 30's with a SMILE and cocktails to say the least!

Celebrating in VEGAS

My mom, Kim and I went to Vegas last week to celebrate my 30th birthday and my moms 60th! We stayed at Treasure Island and had a very nice room. Kim and I were very lucky... winning at the lucky 7 slots and the black jack tables. My mom, not so much she left it all in Vegas. We took in our first Cirque show, Mystere, got toe rings, went shopping, ate great food (except for the TI buffet :), and had plenty of cocktails & laughs. This was the first time Kim & I have left our girls for more than a day. It was a nice getaway for us and the girls had fun with their daddy's. Grant was great at keeping up with Danielle. He even took her to our one year old class. Here's just a preview of the fun we had.

I got Danielle the most adorable lady bug rain boots and a matching hat. Looking back I should have gotten the rain coat too but decided against it. Here are a couple of pics of her having fun stomping in the rain.

Picking the PERFECT Pumpkin

Stoney Brook Farm is a neat farm in Everson. They have a pumpkin patch, apple orchard, corn maze, and all sorts of farm animals. The farm is so neat, we've been twice this week. The first few pictures are from our outing on Saturday with Grandma Kyla and the second batch is with our friends Megan and Ronan.

Fun Random Photos

Gosh, where does the time go... It's been way too long since we've updated the blog. Sorry time flies when you are having fun & chasing a toddler. Danielle is growing into such a beautiful & mischievous little girl! She responds to us (when she wants to) and is more in LOVE with the cats then she's ever been. She has mastered climbing up & getting down from the couch and is always getting into things she shouldn't be getting into, so much for buying her toys. I'm trying to teach her to help me with putting toys away at the end of the day but that might be a while longer. Dancing is her favorite past time and she makes it a point to go on a walk every day. Two if she's lucky enough. Next week we start our 1 year old class which we are so excited about!!

Trip to Sunnyside, WA

Tyler & his mom, Rachelle, invited Danielle, Ronan, Megan and I to spend the weekend at her moms house in Sunnyside, WA. Her family owns a huge orchard there.
We had such a great time. The weather was beautiful (high 80's) and we had plenty of things to keep us busy. We went walking through the orcard picking fruit (apples, peaches, and pears). The kids had so much fun running away from us & sampling the fruit. We had a great time splashing in the pool at her moms each day. It was a lovely (but short) trip, and we can't wait to go again next year!!

Sammie's 1st Birthday!!

Danielle's dearest friend Samantha turned ONE on August 28th. Just one month after Danielle did. She threw a fun party with lots of things to play with, like a sand box, a playhouse and even swings!! Danielle enjoyed running around the yard with a party sippy cup & helping Sammie play with her new toys!

Orcas Island FUN!

Sammie invited us to visit her Pops & Peaches on Orcas Island for a few days. Despite the crappy weather, we had a fun time. They have a deck that wraps around the house which the girls LOVED to run around. Their house sits on a cliff above the water. It was so peaceful & beautiful there.
