Merry Christmas

We indeed had a great Christmas. Not only did we get a white one but, we were able to spend it with our family in the area. We were a little worried the snow would keep us up in Bellingham so we opened all of our presents under our tree before heading down on Christmas Eve. Danielle was so spoiled by her Grandpa & Grandma DeRemer, thank you for all of her goodies!! We spent the night at GG's house on Christmas Eve. It was really fun for me because it brought back many childhood memories. We woke up on Christmas day in a snow globe. Kim and her family came over and we dove right into opening presents, boy were we all spoiled! We headed to Nana's house in the afternoon for dinner. It was such a wonderful day filled with happy family memories, although it was sort of sad because it's over and done with in the blink of an eye. :) Hope you and yours had a wonderful Christmas and may 2009 be filled with lots of happiness!!

Santa brought Danielle a Cabbage Patch Kid. Her name is Jacqueline and she has freckles just like Miss D!!

Sledding!!!

OK I must admit, I am SO OVER the snow. We have about a foot of snow on the ground and as I type this, it's snowing yet again!! Although, we are making the most of it by playing in the white stuff and sledding down a big hill we have near our house. Danielle has been really brave and started sledding down a little hill all by herself, unfortunately I didn't have the camera but she was having a ball!
The snow is fun for sure, but it needs to melt! (sorry snow fans.)

Danielle and I hiking up the hill.

Whee!! Down the hill so fast. :)

Sledding with Daddy.

Danielle hitching a free ride up the hill. It was hard work pulling her.

Thad and Hayden sled down the BIG hill from the very top. She's so brave!

Thad slow plowed Shay, it was funnier than the pictures show. :)

Poor Shay...

BUT Shay prevailed!! Hooray!

SNOW much FUN!

We got hit with another 5 inches of snow today!! It fell all day and was so beautiful to watch. Thank goodness it wasn't as cold as it was on Monday because it allowed us to play in it longer.

Danielle and I made a baby snowman when we got home from school...

snow snow snowing (HARD!)

...Our baby snowman literally 30 minutes after we made it.

Snowy Sunday!

On Sunday we woke up to about 4 inches of snow on Sunday. Danielle was very excited so we got all bundled up and treked outside to play in the snow. We didn't stay out long because it was so cold and windy. Danielle liked the snow but kept wanting to shake the snow off her boots because it was "stuck" on there. It was pretty cute!

My snow bunny!

Danielle cleaning off her slide so she can go down it.

Danielle trying to get on the ledge to go down the slide but she can't do it cause she's all bundled up... then she just gave up!

Done with the hat!! **This is what Danielle's hair looks like when Grant gets her ready in the morning. :) She's having a crazy hair day!**

Christmas Party at The Crovo's

Every year the Crovo's have a Christmas party and this year it was this past Saturday. It was a special one this year because we got snow!! The girls had a great time dancing around in it! We had to cut the party short because the roads were getting bad (they live up the hill from us) and the snow was not going to let up. All in all it was fun to hang out and eat yummy food and drink lots of eggnog!! It was a lovely evening had by all.

Danielle all dressed up in her party dress waiting oh so patiently to go to the Crovo's. **Is it me or does she look so grown up and so big?!**

Danielle and her best friend Sammie and her beloved dog Austin.

Miss Hayden.

I didn't quite get the right shot but Danielle was on Hayden's level crawling with her, it was pretty cute! Danielle LOVES baby Hayden.

Danielle all excited to see the snow!

Christmas Cookies with GG

On Thursday Danielle and I drove down to my moms house to make cookies with Kim, Avery and Natale. It was so much fun! And we made a ton of cookies. The girls enjoyed making the sugar cookies the most. Danielle thought the cookie dough was play dough and LOVED rolling the dough and using the cookie cutters multiple times. When it came to frosting, Danielle was is HEAVEN. She would take a big scoop and spread a tiny bit on the cookie and then lick the rest off the spoon. Needless to say she didn't frost very many cause she was on a sugar high for the rest of the night. We had a wonderful day and look forward to making it a yearly tradition.
