A trip to Hovander

Grant had a half day of work on Saturday which was great. The weather was beautiful so we decided to make the most of it and take a trip out to Hovander park. Always fun out there but I was a little diappointed with the animal display... not much to look at but the girls enjoyed seeing what was there.

Talking to the turkeys. Izzy really doesn't know what to think... but aren't the piggy's cute?

Daddy & his adorable girls checking out the goats.

Some where way up there is Repunzel... oh I mean Danielle. ;)

Grant and I call Danielle the "animal whisperer". She has a very special touch/sense about her. Really, any kind of animal will connect with her in some way. We were on our way back to the car and she kept calling for the cows and Grant kept making "mooing" sounds. Sure enough the three cows came over to say good bye & drink some water. It was a really nice send off. We'll be back again another day for sure!!!

4th of July!!

We had the whole family at our house for a couple of days. It was a packed house but also a lot of FUN!! Jonny & Grant did their annual round of golf and us girls just played in the sun and got ready for the neighborhood BBQ!!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Mornin'!!!

GG played "beauty parlor" with the girls so here they are all pretty and ready for the day!! Thanks GG!! (Izzy was napping and missed out!)

Izzy helping with the dishes.

My signature dessert on the 4th! Love it and so does everyone else. ;)

Izzy stealing licks of her sisters Popsicle.

Nothing better than watermelon on the 4th!

The fam crackin' crab!

My friend, neighbor and running partner Michelle! So glad we have some wonderful neighbors.

Good friends and neighbors.

Bubba an the his two younger (and matching) girls!

Playing ladder ball. A fun game indeed!!

The pre light off display! Smoke bombs, tanks, and bottle rockets!

SPARKLERS!!

All ready for the big firework show!

D's summer adventures...

Summer at our house is in full swing. Danielle has had a couple Lemonade Stands, she's caught some crabs at the beach, she's taken us on some nature walks, we've been camping in the back yard, and she had to get some "sugar bugs" taken out of her mouth. Danielle is so full of adventure and she amazes me with her discoveries and the things that come out of her mouth! She's one smart, caring, lovable cookie... with even more fun adventures ahead!

Her first Lemonade stand... do made out pretty good $6.50!! She also got tiped. The key is to wave at all the cars passing by.

My pretty adventurous girl!

Getting camp set up with Daddy!!

Peek a Boo!!

Daddy and his girls around the campfire!!

Getting ready to "blast" the "sugar bug" away!!
She was so brave!! Momma on the other hand had to put on a brave face. I was so nervous for her but she was a champion!!!

Work has begun!! (it was so fast, thank god!)

Happy to be all done!!

Fathers Day!

We invited everyone up to our house for Fathers Day. It was a nice day, although my parents had to leave early because my dad was sick. Jonny & Brittany surprised us on their way home from seeing tim McGraw at the Gorge. It was great to hang out with just the kids for the afternoon.

Daddy firing up the BBQ.

Brittany and the girls. So cute! She fits right in... :)
She also offered to take all the girls for a slumber party with Bubba!!

He would be the perfect captian hook for Danielle's birthday party.

...or she can be the "hook" :)

We have quite a few deer in the neighborhood but on Fathers Day we had a momma & her two babies (still with spots) and then later in the afternoon we had these two bucks! They help us prune our trees in the back yard. They were really fun to watch.

Cute Random Pictures...

Here are some fun pictures that were captured here and there. Enjoy!

Izzy was so into Danielle's goggles that we had to snap a shot!...

... and two seconds later!

First time on a trampoline for Izzy.

Riding her bike... still a work in progress but doing great!! Practice makes perfect as I keep reminding Danielle. :)

Cuddle Bug... both of them!

My girls LOVE to swing!!

Our beach combing adventure.

The creatures we captured to observe, then we set them free. D LOVES doing this, it's a great adventure for her age.

We call Danielle the cat whisperer. She attracks so many neighborhood cats. She LOVES to play with them. 2 of them wait outside our front door for her to come out and play. Skippy & Bogey don't think it's very nice though. :)

Yum, oranges! We were having a picnic while watching Danielle play with Cali, one of the kitties that adores her.

Danielle Graduates from Preschool

At the end of May Danielle officially graduated from her preschool, Polliwog Learning Pond. It was a bittersweet moment for both her and I. I didn't realize how much it would effect her but it sure did. Thank goodness we are doing "Summer Camp" there until the end of Aug so she can have some fun with her friends before her new adventure at the big school. She is looking forward to Kindy but will definitely miss her friends and Teacher Sara. I'm sure we will keep in touch with her friends and I know we will always be in touch with Sara. :)

The preschool class of 2011!!

Springtime Adventures

Our spring was a chilly one. We kept busy with some fun adventures! We took our annual trip to the tulip festival and had a great Easter "Saturday" at Uncle Bubbas. We also had our 3rd Annual Lobster Fest BBQ at our house with our neighbors, which is always fun!!

Izzy and Daddy staying warm before we hit the tulip fields!

Getting face painted is a tradition! Her favorite, a RAINBOW!

Our family trying to stay warm and happy!!

D loved running through the fields! I got her to pick her favorite ones, she's her mothers daughter!! PINK PINK PINK!!!

Daddy's and their daughters. So cute!

Danielle holding Giselle.

Easter was really fun!! Jonny and his girlfriend, Brittany hosted Easter dinner. We had a killer Easter egg hunt and a blast playing at Bubbas house. We couldn't of asked for better weather that day!!

This is Izzy's favorite toy, the talking doggy. She gives it loves and talks to it. It has nothing to do with Easter but I had to put it in. :)

D dyeing our eggs a couple days before!

And the hunt is on. Kim & Brit showing the girls where the eggs are.

Danielle and all her loot! She got a hula hoop that lights up from Bubba!!

MY Happy Bunny!!

A happy ending to a FUN Easter!!

We had our 3rd annual lobster fest on Memorial Day. We invited some old and new neighbors to join in on the fun! It was nice to get to know our neighbors in the hood and see our dear friends from our old hood. It's funny, all the pictures taken were of the kids playing with them. ha ha!

Our lobsters!

"hmm, what are these creatures doing on the floor?!"

This years proof our kiddos still like to play with them. :)
