In loving Memory of Isabel Dieter: 1912-2007

Isabel Dieter passed away this morning after living 12 days past her 95th Birthday!!

In her final days, we were with her to tell her it was OK to go and be with her husband George and her late son Jonny. We went to visit her yesterday to say our final goodbyes at her home where she passed early this morning in her sleep.

Grandma had lived a wonderful life. Always looking so proper with her tidy outfits, matching shoes, and pocket book (that's what she called them). Her hair and makeup nicely done and her hands always manicured. It was such a treat for her to be able to meet two of her great grand babies. She lit up when Avery & Danielle were around, she loved to hold them and give them kisses.

As hard as it is to bear that she's gone, it's comforting to know she's finally with my grandpa and the rest of her friends. I'm sure they're all asking her what took so long. :) But I know she's raving to them about what a wonderful time she had with her family and friends before she left. Now she can get back to knitting and playing bridge with her friends. For now she'll be sitting on our shoulders guiding us along on our adventures ahead.

We love you Grandma. You'll be missed dearly.

After the birthday party we spent the night at cousin Avery's and we played in the bath tub together... it was my 1st bubble bath... slippery but FUN!!

Miss Danielle is blooming like a flower before our eyes. She's 7 months already (boy time flies) and is learning new things every day- although it seems like every minute. She's quite the busy little butterfly with the things she gets her hands on. She loves to grab at everything and her third hand is her mouth. :) Danielle LOVES to play with her friends and has mastered sitting up. She's almost mobile by rolling over. She'll get on her knees, with a little help, but no movement yet. Only time will tell... plus it gives me time to child proof our house.

Sun Peaks

We had a wonderful winter vacation in Sun Peaks Canada. It was so nice & relaxing... although it didn't start to snow until we left this morning... oh well :) Here are a couple of cute pics of our stay. Happy Valentines Day.

Look who's 6 months!!

Miss Danielle is 6 months today!! Other than being cranky from teething she had a great day and it shows. She's amazes us with the things she picks up on so quickly. In fact, today she fed herself Cheerios... ahh, the things we get excited about. :)

Danielle LOVES sitting up while playing with her toys. She got her first oowie yesterday. She tumbled over and bumped her head on the coffee table. It was sad for her and us (although you can't tell in this picture)... I know it's the first of many. :)

Danielle can sit up for more than 5 seconds. :) Everyday she's getting better and better. She'd rather do that than roll over. This is her playing with a new toy she got for Christmas.


Danielle loves playing in her crib with the aquarium & all the froggies. It's really cute to watch her sing & talk to them.


This was taken on our walk today. The sun was shining longer than 5 minutes for the first time in months. Danielle enjoyed the fresh air & the sun glasses.

Happy New Year!! We hope 2007 has started off with a bang. Little Miss Danielle is growing oh so quickly (she turned 5 months on the 28th.) She makes us laugh with the funny things she does!! She's really come out of her shell and is such a happy baby to anyone & everyone who holds her. She's really starting to learn her voice so we are always amused with the different sounds she makes.
