CAMPOUT 2007... Dani's 1st Camping Trip

Our family went on our annual camping trip to Granite Falls last weekend... AND Danielle thoroughly enjoyed herself. She is such an explorer, she was bound and determined to put every rock and every piece of dirt she could get ahold of in her mouth. SOOO that being said she was confined to the pack n' play ball pit, the stroller, the wagon, or someone was holding her. She wasn't too fond of it, but quickly got use to it. :) What she loved the most was splashing in the river. It's glacier water (which is really cold) but it didn't seem to phase her because she dove right in.

Summer Fun!!

It's been well over a month since I've posted. Sorry, we've been busy. We had a nice 4th of July... had some friends over for a BBQ. AND the first two photos were the only pictures I took on 4th of July. :)

Since the weathers been so nice, we've been playing outside in our pool and going to parks to play. There's this really cool park in the area, Fairhaven Park, with sprinklers and Danielle LOVES it! We try to go once or twice a week.

Danielle's quite the independent little Punky... she LOVES to read books, whether we're reading to her or she's reading to herself. Her favorite book is the Busy Spider with all her favorite barn yard animals, especially the cow, which she imitates all the time. She's taking one or two steps but today she's been doing lots of walking (or should I say stepping). I also noticed her one year molars coming in!!! No wonder she's been a little crabby the past couple of days.
We're off on our first camping trip with Punky next weekend, should be interesting yet fun!!

A Happy Father's Day indeed

Danielle's Last Day of Class

Our last day of our Baby n' Me class was last week. Danielle loves to go to class to play with the other kiddos. She loves her teacher Ann Marie and especially likes it when she sings (because she's so animated.) The classes are always fun, we get to meet different families and learn all sorts of stuff about their developmental stages. Now that class is over and it's nice out, we're starting to meet at parks around town. Here are a couple cute pics of Danielle and her friends in class.

Busy Little BEE!!

Danielle's been quite a BUSY little bee!! She owns the house and is catching onto things so quickly. She's mimicing words we are saying to her and already has 4 words in her vocabulary... Momma, Dada, all done (pronounced all dahhh), more (pronouced moooooor) and ball (pronouced baaaaaa). Danielle keeps us on our toes but she's so fun to watch and she's getting quite the personality. We can't believe she's almost a year... time to start planning the big PARTY!!

She's on the GO GO GO & havin' FUN!!

Well the quiet peaceful life as we knew it has gone to hell in a hand basket. :) Danielle has finally mastered the fine art of CRAWLING!!! She's really cruising now. Today she crawled into each room and found the cat food & water... no she didn't eat the food but she spilled the water all over herself. She's getting into EVERYTHING!! And she's as good at standing as she is crawling. I wouldn't be surprised if she was walking in the next month or so.


First time using a push toy. She caught on very quickly.


The day after she really started to crawl, we came in to find her standing in her crib. It freaked us out but it was funny at the same time so we had to capture the moment.

Danielle & I went with GG, my sis, and Avery to Port Orchard to visit some family friends. We had a nice time catching up and the girls loved playing with each other.

Danielle has figured out how to get around now. She's really enjoying breaking anything not nailed down... Haven't gotten a really good vid of her crawling more than a few paces yet. She's still spending most of her time learning to walk instead of crawling.

Here are some recent videos of Punky. She's far more interested in learning how to walk than in crawling. She'll crawl 2 or 3 paces now to grab something but then sits back up.

The weather has been beautiful the past couple of weeks and we've been taking advantage of it. We met Ronan for a picnic at Lake Padden. They love playing with each other and swinging!! And the we moms love getting out and enjoying ourselves too. :)

Can't get enough of swingin'

Danielle's turning into a little girl right before our eyes. It's amazing to see how much she's developing and catching onto things. We think she's signing a few words and saying mama, and dada. When she drops something she says "OH"! She's really active these days, although she's not crawling yet, she definitely will be any day now. She's so smart and its scary to think she's almost 10 months old... TIME FLIES!!!
