Having fun playin' with friends!!

The weather has been beautiful the past couple of weeks and we've been taking advantage of it. We met Ronan for a picnic at Lake Padden. They love playing with each other and swinging!! And the we moms love getting out and enjoying ourselves too. :)

Happy Birthday Cousin Avery!!

Cousin Avery celebrated her 2nd birthday on Cinco de Mayo. She had a birthday in the park and we had a great time!!

Can't get enough of swingin'

Danielle's turning into a little girl right before our eyes. It's amazing to see how much she's developing and catching onto things. We think she's signing a few words and saying mama, and dada. When she drops something she says "OH"! She's really active these days, although she's not crawling yet, she definitely will be any day now. She's so smart and its scary to think she's almost 10 months old... TIME FLIES!!!

On Sunday we took a trip to see the tulips!! And we couldn't have asked for better weather. As you can see the tulips were in FULL bloom & so beautiful... we just hope these pictures can show you how amazing the fields really are.

Danielle's First Easter

We celebrated Easter Saturday with my family. They came to visit and have dinner. While they were here, we went to Lake Padden where Danielle enjoyed her first swing. She LOVED it. It was so fun to watch her. She was saying wee wee the entire time she was swinging. It was a HOOT!!

We were invited to go to spend a couple of days with some friends on Orcas Island. It was really nice to relax, hang out and do nothing. It was so fun to watch Sammie and Danielle play together. They had a blast playing with toys, bathing together and talkin' baby. Sammie is pretty much crawling and we're hoping Danielle caught on... so far no signs yet.

Fun in the Arizona Sun

We just got home from a wonderful trip to Arizona. We had a great time with Grandma & Grandpa Deremer and the weather couldn't have been better (high 70's to 80's)!! Danielle had a blast. Taking in her first baseball game, she was rooting for the Mariners even though we saw the White Sox/Rockies play. :) She also had a blast playing in the pool. She was kicking & splashing away... it was way too cute.
Danielle got lots of quality time with Grandpa... every morning she would wake up at 6am, too early for Daddy & Mommy, so we would bring her out to play with Grandpa.

Danielle is getting so BIG!!. She's rolling around when she wants to get places, and is scooting/crawling backwards. She loves to bounce & is very strong on her feet. With little help, she pulls herself up. She'll be doing it by herself very soon. I just need to get on the ball and child proof the house.

Proud Grandparents!!

In loving Memory of Isabel Dieter: 1912-2007

Isabel Dieter passed away this morning after living 12 days past her 95th Birthday!!

In her final days, we were with her to tell her it was OK to go and be with her husband George and her late son Jonny. We went to visit her yesterday to say our final goodbyes at her home where she passed early this morning in her sleep.

Grandma had lived a wonderful life. Always looking so proper with her tidy outfits, matching shoes, and pocket book (that's what she called them). Her hair and makeup nicely done and her hands always manicured. It was such a treat for her to be able to meet two of her great grand babies. She lit up when Avery & Danielle were around, she loved to hold them and give them kisses.

As hard as it is to bear that she's gone, it's comforting to know she's finally with my grandpa and the rest of her friends. I'm sure they're all asking her what took so long. :) But I know she's raving to them about what a wonderful time she had with her family and friends before she left. Now she can get back to knitting and playing bridge with her friends. For now she'll be sitting on our shoulders guiding us along on our adventures ahead.

We love you Grandma. You'll be missed dearly.

New toy for Danielle- a BALL!!

Miss Danielle is blooming like a flower before our eyes. She's 7 months already (boy time flies) and is learning new things every day- although it seems like every minute. She's quite the busy little butterfly with the things she gets her hands on. She loves to grab at everything and her third hand is her mouth. :) Danielle LOVES to play with her friends and has mastered sitting up. She's almost mobile by rolling over. She'll get on her knees, with a little help, but no movement yet. Only time will tell... plus it gives me time to child proof our house.
