Warm Beach

We experienced Warm Beach this year and will definitely make it a tradition from here on out. It was a chilly night but we managed to dodge most of the rain. There was so much to see and do! We talked to Bruce the Spruce, went horse back riding, got faces painted, and of course grabbed apple cider donuts before our trek home. It was a wonderful holiday experience!!

This tree was really neat! The picture doesn't do it justice though.

Christmas time in Seattle

We went down to Seattle one weekend in December to take in the Christmas sights. It was pouring with rain and freezing so we didn't cover much. Although we were able to experience Winterfest at the Seattle Center, and the Childrens Museum. We then had dinner with good friends. We spent the night at Nana's and went to feed the reindeer at Swansons Nursery on Sunday morning before heading home.

Curly the camel and Mo the donkey. Very cute pair, so fun to watch!!

Running!?!

So one of my many "new" adventures I want to accomplish is to start running. It's going as good as to be expected but I need to be more consistant at it. On December 11th I ran the Jingle Bell Run (4 mile) in B'ham. It was my first of many fun runs. My goal was to run it under an hour and I finished in 52 minutes!!
Here'a picture of me and two of my girlfriends who ran it too. We made these fancy tutu's! We definitely stuck out from the crowd. :)

Finding the perfect tree!

I talked Grant into getting our Christmas tree early this year. So we packed the girls up, grabbed latte's and went out to find the "perfect" DeRemer family Christmas tree! We found a great place not far from our house. There was not one tree over $30.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I know it's late for this post sorry, but I can't not post pictures of Izzy "eating" her first meal. My parents hosted Thanksgiving in Kirkland and we had areally nice time. The big girls had fun playing in the snow and Bubba did some SUPER duper sledding with them. A few of us went to Michaels after dinner to check out their deals. Then proceeded to Kim's to spend the night and attemp black Friday.
I'm so blessed to have a wonderful family, supportive husband, and to two beautiful healthy girls!! Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving... the kickoff to the hectic but rewarding holidays!

Izzy chillin' and playing with her toy.

Her very first bit of cereal.... she took to it like a champ!!

The weather has been frightful!

We've had some really COLD weather the past 2 weeks. The temp dropped down into the single digits one night and was in the teens for a couple of days. With that, we got our first snow fall. Danielle was in heaven playing the snow, making snow angels, sledding down the hill, and throwing snowballs at Daddy. We had a great time with the white stuff but mommy is really happy it's gone for a while. :)

Hard work sledding, ain't it? :)

Izzy Kat

Just wanted to post some cute pictures of Izzy. She is already 4 1/2 months!! Time flies... she is such a happy baby and is pretty easy going. In the past 2 weeks she has cut her first 2 teeth, rolls from her belly to her back to both sides, is grabbing anything she can reach, she makes the cutest sweaks to get our attention, and on Thanksgiving GG had the honor of feeding her cereal for the first time. She took to it really well!! Here area a couple cute pictures of our munchkin.

Danielle captured this shot!

Danielle's First (real) Haircut

Danielle got her first real haircut a couple weeks ago. She was a little apprehensive at first but settled right in and actually fell asleep while Heather was cutting her hair. All in all she did great! You can't really tell she got her haircut, but Heather cut 3 inches of the back. When I showed Danielle the pictures of her falling asleep she didn't believe me, but then admitted she was really tired.

Getting all prepped

She sat really still...

...then she was out. Heather had to lean her body against Danielle's head so she could continue cutting.:)

Ta Da!!!! So pretty!

HaPPy HaLLoWeen!

Since moving into our new neighborhood, we were told we get loads of trick or treaters. So I stocked up on TONS of candy, we had about 50+ kids, most of which were tween/teens. We had friends over for dinner and then the dads took the girls out while the moms & Izzy stayed home and passed out candy! The big girls had fun trick or treating but had a hard time taking turns ringing the doorbells.

My loves! Danielle kept asking us what we were (mommy & daddy) going to be for Halloween, we said we weren't dressing up. I think next year we will all join in on the dress up fun!! We had a great night and we hope you all had a fun & safe one too!!
